Through civics education, people acquire an understanding of governance and how to become active participants in democratic processes. Acknowledging a need to increase this knowledge among youth, the U.S. Department of Education last year awarded 25 grants to support civics-focused projects around the country, including one at Arizona State University.
ORAU’s FY 2025 Innovation Partnerships Program is accepting applications. This program is structured to build stronger relationships between university members and ORAU collaborators by focusing on research and education topics that align well with ORAU’s expertise and current priorities.
The Zen den will be moved to San Pablo for this evening as a resource for students. We will bring fun Zen Den activities and beanbags as well as an atmosphere of meditation and wellness.

Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, are preventable, potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0–17 years). Examples of ACEs include neglect, experiencing or witnessing violence, or having a family member attempt or die by suicide.
Science and Technology Studies (STS) is an interdisciplinary field that investigates the conceptual foundations, historical developments and social contexts of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), including medical science. The STS program supports proposals across a broad spectrum of research that uses historical, philosophical and social scientific methods to investigate STEM theory and practice.
Program Characteristics and Priorities
The Embassy encourages the submission of unique and creative proposals from a wide variety of sources. All programs must include a link to the United States and/or an element that builds understanding of the United States including, but not limited to U.S. policy, people, culture and/or perspectives. Programs must be focused on Swedish or regional audiences/participants.

Embassy Stockholm’s public diplomacy programs are directly tied to our Mission goals and support our joint efforts to address today’s most pressing challenges.
This is an opportunity for Doctoral graduates to celebrate their accomplishments with their cohort, their loved ones and program faculty. A celebratory reception will take place in the Farmer Atrium immediately following Graduate Commencement. Light refreshments will be served.
