The RCE Greater Phoenix and MLFTC’s Education for Planetary Futures Learning Futures Collaborative invite MLFTC and the wider ASU community to celebrate Earth Week and the role of education sustainability. The activities will run from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Farmer’s Building atrium on April 22nd. Free snacks and drinks will be available. Activities include:

Join us in the Learning Commons (room 126 of the Farmer Education Building) to learn how to catch up on missing assignments and get on track in classes while enjoying some fries and ketchup!

Through this initiative, the Foundation seeks ambitious projects that confront gaps in undergraduates’ civic knowledge and prepares them for the intellectual demands of democratic participation. Successful proposals will seek to promote learning about the formation of the American republic, the crafting of its Constitution, the history of contention over the interpretation of the Constitution, the development of representative political structures, and the principles of democracy.

Longview funds proposals for one-year grants focused on increasing global dimensions within K-12 education in the U.S. submitted using one of the following strategies. Successful applications will contribute to the field and/or will impact significant numbers of students. We are placing a priority on applications that support professional development for teachers, globalizing career pathways, using AI to bring the world into your classroom, fostering civic discourse, and access to strong on-line global content in the categories as described below.
