Four Melikian Center affiliates have recently received grants from the National Center for Eurasian and East European Research (NCEEER) to conduct research.

NCEEER was established in 1978 to ensure the long-term funding of peer-reviewed research on the region. The organization seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and public policy by supporting projects that address pressing global issues.

Arizona State University student veterans were able to celebrate their graduation in a special way this year — from the comfort of their cars.

While many other ASU convocation ceremonies this spring were held on Zoom or other streaming platforms, nearly 200 veterans zoomed over to Lot 59 on ASU’s Tempe campus on May 1 for an in-person experience.

The American Educational Research Association, the leading organization for advancing knowledge about education and promoting the application of education research, held its 2021 annual meeting on a virtual platform from April 8 through 12. The theme was "Accepting Educational Responsibility," and nearly 120 scholars from ASU and Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College took part as presenters, speakers and participants.
