<p>The Imagine Learning Foundation, the philanthropic wing of the Imagine Learning company, works to foster the well-being of learners and the people who support them at home and in their communities.</p> <p>According to the foundation, schools can better develop healthy and supportive learning environments when social and emotional learning (SEL) programs are extended from classrooms into homes and communities.
<p>Since 2000, there has been real progress made in advancing girls’ and women’s access to education at all levels. But far too many girls face persistent barriers to their education, particularly those in emergencies and in conflict-affected and fragile states.</p> <p>Girls face particular challenges that prevent them from reaching their full potential, even when they have access to education. These include inadequate sanitation facilities, gender-based violence in and around school, child marriage, and gender norms and discrimination inside and outside of the classroom.
<p>Our Neighborhood Grants support organizations working at the community level, providing nutrition education and healthy food access programs to kids. With grants ranging in size from $2,500 to $10,000, we support organizations that help children develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime. From school and community gardens to youth cooking classes, our partners offer a variety of programs that are interactive, educational, and fun!
<p>With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for rigorous evaluations of desistance-based interventions to advance understanding of strategies that might aid in the process of desistance, including programs targeting intimate partner violence.
