ONR seeks a broad range of applications for augmenting existing and/or developing innovative solutions that directly maintain and/or cultivate a diverse, world-class Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce to maintain the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps’ technological superiority. The goal of proposed efforts must provide solutions that establish, build, and/or maintain STEM educational pathways and workforce opportunities for diverse U.S. citizens directly relevant to ONR science and technology areas.

<p>The National Science Foundation announces plans to continue its support of Research Coordination Networks (RCN) designed to foster communication and promote new collaboration among scientists, engineers and educators with diverse expertise and who share a common interest in a new or developing area of science or engineering. By encouraging the formation of new groups and networks, the RCN program will advance fields and create novel directions and opportunities for research and science education.

<p>The U.S. Embassy seeks to provide, through a program competed with a separate Notice of Funding Availability, virtual English language classes of 12 to 16 weeks to adult learners whose primary language is Georgian and who are either seeking to become certified as English teachers or who are already certified as English teachers and seeking to strengthen their subject matter expertise.
<p>Computing is increasingly central to innovation across a wide range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary problem domains, resulting in undergraduate computer science, computer engineering, and information science programs being called upon to prepare larger and more diverse student populations.
