The IUSE: EDU program supports projects designed to contribute to a future in which all undergraduate students are fully engaged in their STEM learning.
This program is “field-initiated” in that proposal submissions are not in response to a specific request for a particular research topic, discipline, design, or method. Our goal for this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in education. We seek to support scholarship that develops new foundational knowledge that may have a lasting impact on educational discourse.
Limited Submission

The Evidence & Evaluation team leads AV’s efforts to strengthen causal evidence in social policy. We believe that understanding which programs and policies work — and which do not — enables policymakers to direct limited resources toward the most effective strategies that improve outcomes at scale.
How can we reimagine team structures and daily practices in ways that honor values, build relationships, and expand collective capacity for impact?
This session highlights how MLFC's Career and Professional Experience Services (CAPES) embedded Principled Innovation to restructure practices, navigate growth amid constraints, and reimagine day-to-day work.
Through values-driven reflection, relationship-building, and collective sensemaking, the CAPES team strengthened agency, clarified decision-making, and redefined student success.
The Challenge: Today's Fragmented Landscape
Today’s learn-to-work ecosystem is fragmented and hard to navigate. Millions of workers, especially those who have built skills outside of traditional degree programs, struggle to show what they can do in ways employers trust and understand.
