The Longview Foundation has made grants to support state coalitions of leaders in education, government, business, and non–profit organizations working to promote teaching about world regions and global issues in their states.

LIMITED SUBMISSION PENDING FACULTY INTEREST

The Public Diplomacy Section at the United States Embassy Abuja, Nigeria of the U.S. Department of State announces the open-competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project focused on promoting U.S. higher education opportunities for standard advising centers, high-achieving low-income Nigerian students at the graduate and undergraduate level.

The Spencer Foundation invests in research to improve education, broadly conceived. We have identified a critical need for innovative, methodologically and disciplinarily diverse, large-scale research projects to transform education systems for equity.

The Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Program seeks to develop nation-wide community stewardship of local natural resources, preserving these resources for future generations and enhancing habitat for local wildlife. Grants seek to address water quality issues in priority watersheds, such as erosion due to unstable streambanks, pollution from stormwater runoff, and degraded shorelines caused by development.

ECR’s Building Capacity in STEM Education Research (ECR: BCSER) supports projects that build investigators’ capacity to carry out high-quality STEM education research that will enhance the nation’s STEM education enterprise. In addition, ECR: BCSER seeks to broaden the pool of researchers who can advance knowledge regarding STEM learning and learning environments, broadening participation in STEM fields, and STEM workforce development.

Amid a world increasingly captivated by all things digital, more than 200 Arizona teachers have crafted immersive educational experiences that nudge students to step away from their screens and reconnect with the natural world outside.

The Brady Education Foundation seeks to close the opportunity gap between children living in under-resourced and/or under-represented communities and other children. The Foundation pursues its mission by promoting collaboration between researchers and educators via the funding of program evaluations in education that have the potential of informing public policy and private funding. The Foundation is particularly focused on the evaluation of programs that are consistent with a strength-based approach and show promise of being feasible, accessible, effective and sustainable.
