<p><span>Through this funding opportunity, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) seeks to develop and amplify the evidence around a set of approaches that improve community health and well-being and advance health equity, while also addressing climate change adaptation or mitigation. Eligible, local approaches can focus on one or more of a range of determinants of health—including, but not limited to: air quality; energy sources; transportation or mobility design; food and water systems; housing; and health systems.
<p><span>After receiving great feedback from grant applicants, Brady Shines would like to introduce themed grant cycles. This will not only provide more guidance to applicants but it will also provide the Brady Shines Committee a better focus when deciding on grant award winners. Applicants must still be non-profit organizations supporting education and youth based programs, but with added definition going forward.

<div>Social science research on many topics is often hampered by the limitations of survey data, including relatively small sample sizes, low response rates and high costs. However, the digital age has increased access to large, comprehensive data sources, such as public and private administrative databases, and new sources of information from online transactions, social-media interactions, and internet searches. New computational methods also allow for the extraction, coding, and analysis of large volumes of text.

<p><span>Public Humanities Projects grants support projects that bring the ideas and insights of the humanities to life for general audiences. Projects must engage humanities scholarship to illuminate significant themes in disciplines such as history, literature, ethics, and art, or to address challenging issues in contemporary life. NEH encourages projects that involve members of the public in collaboration with humanities scholars or that invite contributions from the community in the development and delivery of humanities programming.
<p><span>The NHPRC is looking for projects that create models and technologies that other institutions can freely adopt. In general, collaborations among archivists, documentary editors, historians, educators, and/or community-based individuals are more likely to create a competitive proposal. Projects might create and develop programs to engage people in the study and use of historical records for institutional, educational or personal reasons.</span></p>

<p>The Conference Grant program provides support to scholars in developing small research conferences and focused symposia with budgets up to $50,000. We view conferences funded through this program as exploring critical issues in education research. We intend for applicants to bring together researchers, practitioners, and other important collaborators whose substantive knowledge, theoretical insight, and methodological expertise can be assembled in ways that build upon and advance education research.
