<p>The purpose of this program is to provide environmental education training and long-term support to education professionals across the U.S. to enable them to effectively teach about environmental issues. Long-term support (e.g., the use of national guidelines that discuss what constitutes quality environmental education materials and what a student needs to know about the environment in grades K-12 to become environmentally literate) is as important as the training itself.
<p>The SEED program provides funding to increase the number of highly effective educators by supporting the implementation of Evidence-Based practices that prepare, develop, or enhance the skills of educators. These grants will allow eligible entities to develop, expand, and evaluate practices that can serve as models to be sustained and disseminated.</p> <p>This notice contains two absolute priorities and three competitive preference priorities. Each of the two absolute priorities constitutes its own funding category.
