Coursework and curriculum
Taking online courses, students in the Education MA program receive foundational training in research and evaluation in education. This program is designed for the exploration of multiple education disciplines and students customize their core curriculum by choosing two focal areas related to their professional interests.
Graduate students who have completed the coursework from the Next Gen Personal Finance program enter the Education MA program having already completed the coursework for their first focal area, financial education. They then select a second focal area of interest from the available options to partner with their completed curriculum on financial education.
Other focal areas include, but are not limited to:
- Applied behavior analysis
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Early childhood education
- Educating multilingual learners
- Environmental education
- Gifted education
- Global education
- Learning design and technologies
- Literacy education
- Physical activity and physical education
- And more!
Then, the program culminates with an applied project designed to address one or more real-world challenges related to the student’s areas of interest.
