School/District Clearance Requirements

IMPORTANT NOTE: All interns and all student teachers in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College are responsible for checking the links below to determine if the district where you will be completing your internship and/or student teaching semester requires additional paperwork or a background check. In many cases, you are not allowed to begin your field experience clock hours until you are cleared by the district. Background checks typically take several weeks to complete. It is very important for you to follow through on these requirements! Don't delay!

Based on your confirmed district in Tk20, check the district list below. If your district is listed, then you need to open, print, and read the documents listed under "Information for..." and "Additional Documents," if applicable. Required documents should be submitted directly to the district office noted on each page.

If the district or charter school that you are assigned to is NOT listed below, then you do not need to complete a clearance process. You can immediately contact your Intern Mentor Teacher/Mentor Teacher to make arrangements to begin.
