We offer degree and non-degree leadership programs designed to develop leaders who can connect people and ideas to improve schools and systems for leaders, educators and their communities.

  • Prepare for principalship certification with a MEd degree in Educational Leadership that leads to principalship certification in the state of Arizona as well as national standards for educational leadership.
  • Develop governance skills in future superintendents staff at your organization that already have a principal certification can advance their careers even further with a 3-credit superintendent internship.
  • Develop scholarly practitioner skills in current educator-leaders with the EdD in Leadership and Innovation, current practicing educator-leaders are able to transform and improve their practice through cyclical action research.

Educational Leadership (Principalship), MEd

The Educational Leadership (Principalship), MEd prepares students to meet the Arizona requirements for principal certification. Your staff can participate individually in the program, or you can host a district cohort through the district Grow Your Own partnership. Additional benefits to the district cohort modality include that your district priorities and initiatives are embedded into the coursework.

Superintendent internship

Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College also offers a 3 credit course Superintendent Internship to school leaders who already have a principal certification. In this internship, students complete 135 internship hours with an emphasis on governance, as well as the opportunity to learn from several Arizona superintendents.

Leadership and Innovation, EdD

The EdD program in Leadership and Innovation prepares scholarly practitioners and is designed for practicing educator-leaders who work in a range of settings and who want to transform and improve their practice to create better learning opportunities for students of all ages.
