Strengthen educator pipeline and retention

We can connect you to new people and work with you to design accessible pathways for those already in your system so they can advance while still working with you.

  • Provide accessible pathways for paraeducators to earn bachelor’s degrees and certifications remotely while continuing to work in schools as well as pathways for teachers hired on emergency certification to earn their formal certification.
  • Fill immediate needs at your institution while also providing meaningful professional development experiences to current undergraduate and graduate students preparing for careers in education.
  • Engage with teacher candidates and participate in recruitment events designed to build rapport and foster early relationships.

Mentor teachers serve in a vital role to ensure teacher candidates receive the care and attention necessary to develop into highly-effective and reflective education practitioners. Current educators gain valuable professional development and positively influence the next generation of educators by serving as a mentor teacher.

Additional benefits for mentor teachers include:

  • Improve leadership, instructional coaching and mentoring skills
  • Earn professional development hours toward recertification
  • Access tuition reimbursement towards degree and non-degree seeking pathways at ASU
  • Leverage the combined resources and individual strengths of you and your assigned mentee to better impact the outcomes of students you serve
  • Teach in a team with your assigned mentee and decrease the student-to-teacher ratio in your class
