K-12 schools and school systems are interested in developing strategic staffing models that benefit both educators and the students they serve, however they seek logistical and systemic support in advancing such models.
The approach
This grant allows for informational and logistical support for the development of strategic staffing models through MLFTC's Next Education Workforce™ initiative. Next Education Workforce teams will support efforts in the state of Michigan in the following ways:
● Host opportunities for system leaders, school leaders, and educators to visit, learn about, and assess the Next Education Workforce models' fit for their system; and for school leaders to lead strategic planning & implementation efforts.
● Provide regular virtual support, on-site coaching, and professional learning to system leaders, school leaders, and educator teams proactively, on an individual needs basis, as well as in a network of peers.
● Conduct independent research and evaluation to inform programmatic changes and adjustments.
● Host three annual convenings in which all Michigan participants come together to build community, coalition, and enable statewide learning and collaboration.
● Provide technical assistance to support project oversight, project management, and programmatic support.
