The purpose of this solicitation is to broaden participation in innovation ecosystems in key technologies (e.g., advanced manufacturing, advanced wireless, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum information science, semiconductors, novel materials, and microelectronics) by supporting capacity-building efforts in growing external partnerships for institutions of higher education.

Encompassing all of our core program areas, Community Impact Grants respond to the diverse needs in each of the communities we serve across Arizona. Additional consideration is given to programs that serve under-resourced populations.

Our commitment to enriching the research skills and professional growth of young faculty members at ORAU member institutions is embodied in the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards Program. These competitive research awards provide seed money for junior faculty members that often result in additional funding from other sources. 


This award can include funds for faculty summer salary, graduate student salary, travel, equipment, or other assistance relevant to the faculty member’s research.

Whether families are looking for learning options to supplement or replace the traditional school experience, however, their access to those options too often depends on their financial means and the time and energy they can devote to identifying the options that work best for them.

Purpose of Program:

The purpose of this program is to equitably improve postsecondary student outcomes, including retention, transfer (including successful transfer of completed credits), credit accumulation, and completion, by leveraging data and implementing, scaling, and rigorously evaluating evidence-based activities to support data-driven decisions and actions by institutional leaders committed to inclusive student success.

The U.S. Department of Public Diplomacy Section of U.S. Mission Maldives announces an open competition to solicit programmatic support for the American Center in Malé (ACM). The recipient of this award will be responsible for overseeing the STEM programming of the American Center Malé, to include planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and logistics of this specific thematic area.

The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil (Consulate) announces an open competition for eligible organizations to submit proposals to develop and implement the English Access Microscholarship Program for Halabja Governorate, in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.  The Consulate’s Public Affairs Section (PAS) seeks to provide youth in Halabja Governorate with educational opportunities through English-language instruction in accordance with U.S. Mission Iraq goals.
