 In the news: Education emergency aid won’t last forever

The American Rescue Plan allocates $129 billion to address severe disruptions to school life caused by COVID-19. After the education emergency funding has been spent, what lasting, sustainable improvements will we have brought to our education system? 

MLFTC Dean Carole Basile and City Year CEO Jeff Balfanz penned an op-ed published in The 74 Million to address this issue, arguing for a corps of community educators to ensure long-term benefits.
