<p class="btn btn-gold btn-lg btn-block">Limited Submission: pending faculty interest</p> <p>Purpose of Small Grants: PAS Mozambique invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the United States and Mozambique through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with an American expert, organization, or institution in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.</p> <p><strong>Examples of PAS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Academic and professional lectures, seminars, and speaker programs;</li> <li>Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, and exhibitions;</li> <li>Cultural exchange.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Priority Program Areas:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Countering Violent Extremism: Fostering community resilience to terrorism and violent extremism in Mozambique.</li> <li>English language: Increasing access to English learning.</li> <li>Women’s empowerment: Providing established and emerging female leaders with the tools needed to advance community needs.</li> <li>Entrepreneurship: Promoting good business practices and providing business training for young entrepreneurs.</li> </ul>
