Overview

<p>The Society for The Teaching of Psychology (Division Two of APA) is pleased to announce the Early Career Psychologist Travel Grant Program. Consistent with our <a href="http://teachpsych.org/about">Mission Statement</a> and the <a href="http://teachpsych.org/Addressing-Systemic-Racism">Statement on Addressing Systemic Racism and Inequity</a> in STP, we encourage applications from colleagues who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences. The grant program is open only to STP members who meet the ECP definition below. Grant funds can be used to defray the costs of attending psychology teaching conferences <em>or conferences with a significant teaching of psychology component.</em></p> <p>STP defines an Early Career Psychologist as a member who is within ten years of beginning teaching of psychology and who is not a student.</p> <p>We will fund approximately 20 grants, with a maximum award of $500 per grant, for conference attendance between January 1 and December 31 of the upcoming year.</p>

Solicitation Limitations: <ul> <li>Only STP members are eligible to receive STP awards and grants.</li> <li>Funding of indirect costs is prohibited.</li> <li>During their terms, members of the Award Evaluation committees are ineligible to apply for awards from these programs for which they are members of the evaluation committee.</li> </ul> Other Information:<p>Priority will be given to first-time recipients. Regional conference attendance is encouraged, but not required. The average funding rate of applicants since tracking began in 2012 is 72.5%. Many funded applicants have received full funding, but some proposals received were partially funded.</p>
