RFP: Examining the Efficacy of Science K-8 PD Evaluation

Overview

<p>100Kin10 is honored to partner with ExxonMobil to seek proposals from 100Kin10 partners to conduct an environmental scan of how science professional development providers are evaluating their own impact, and in particular, how they are assessing their contribution toward improved teaching and/or increased longevity in the classroom. The partners(s) selected to work on this project will produce a paper (or equivalent product) for the field that provides the following: <br>1. An inventory of available instruments and/or processes used by providers (including, but not limited to, non-profits, museums, school districts and universities_ and their purpose: <br>2. An analysis of common professional-development evaluation practices and, to the extent possible, the efficacy of those practices; <br>3. A gap analysis of what the field currently providers and what is needed to effectively evaluate the outcomes of science professional development for K-8 teachers.</p>
