Overview
<p><span>NEA Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts, broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. Managed by Arts Midwest, this initiative offers grants to support innovative community reading programs designed around a single book. NEA Big Read supports organizations across the country in developing community-wide programs that encourage reading and the participation of diverse audiences. Organizations selected to participate in the NEA Big Read receive a grant, access to online training resources and opportunities, digital guides, and promotional materials designed to support widespread community involvement</span></p>
Solicitation Limitations: <p><span>Applicant must partner with a library if not a library. K-12 schools and agencies are not eligible but may partner with an eligible applicant. Grants must be matched 1 to 1 with nonfederal funds such as staff salaries and wages, private grants, in-kind contributions, and earned revenues.
