Mission to Zimbabwe, U.S. Embassy Harare EducationUSA Operational Support Grant

Overview

The Public Diplomacy Section at the U.S. Embassy in Zimbabwe announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to implement the EducationUSA Operational Support Program to provide administrative support to the EducationUSA program in Zimbabwe.  The broader EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the United States.

The grantee will work with the Public Diplomacy Section to support the section’s EducationUSA outreach and advising programs.  Specifically, the grantee will facilitate stipend payments and other reimbursements for up to four EducationUSA field advisers in Bulawayo, Gweru, Harare, Mutare and/or other locations in Zimbabwe as necessary.  Additional funding support will be provided to fund outreach activities, including travel, internet and other related outreach costs.  

Priority Region: Project activities must take place in Zimbabwe and be directed at Zimbabwean audiences/participants.

Participants and Audiences: Zimbabwean academics and students

Non-Zimbabwean applicants must have experience working in Zimbabwe.

• Length of performance period: 18 months or less  
• Number of awards anticipated: 1 award (dependent on amounts)
• Anticipated program start date: October 1, 2023
