Overview
<p>Scope of Work:</p> <p>Gadsden Elementary School District #32 is soliciting a Request for Proposal for consulting services for K-8 Professional Development Services to Increase Math, Reading and Writing Achievement with Emphasis on the Needs of English Language Learners and incorporating project based learning. The services requested will include at a minimum but not limited to the following scope of work:</p> <p> </p><p>A.<span> </span>Meet with the Professional Development department to plan systematic Reading and Writing for grades K-8 and 7-8 Math Strategies.</p> <p>B.<span> </span>Provide training to site Principals, Master Teachers, Mentor Teachers, and career teachers on how to implement K-8 Reading, Writing and 7-8 Math Strategies.</p> <p>C.<span> </span>Monitor trend data to evaluate the success of implementation with Gadsden Administration.</p> <p>D.<span> </span>Provide teachers and staff with systematic, research based training on how to build competent and confident readers and writers.</p> <p>E.<span> </span>Provide systematic and explicit instruction on lesson plan implementation.</p> <p>F.<span> </span>Provide instruction and coaching in reading focusing on comprehension (using Informational-Explanatory and Literature text structures).</p> <p>G.<span> </span>Provide instruction and coaching on the following elements characterizing proficient writing: Organization, Vocabulary, Figurative Language, Writing Process, Content, Varied Sentence Structure and Writing Applications.</p> <p>H.<span> </span>Provide instruction and coaching in Math using a cross curricular approach involving project based learning.</p>
Solicitation Limitations: <p>Offeror shall have a LOCAL field representative available at all times during the contract period.</p> Other Information:<p>This proposal is being done by the Gadsden Elementary School District #32 as a member of the Yuma Educational Purchasing Association (YEPA). While this Proposal is for the Gadsden Elementary School District #32, other public entities have expressed interest in utilizing the resulting contracts. School District Procurement Rule A.A.C. R7-2-1191 through R7-2-1195 authorized and governs intergovernmental procurements. Members of “YEPA” are school districts that have signed an intergovernmental agreement under such a cooperative purchase agreement to obtain economies of scale. After award, this solicitation may be utilized by the eligible School Districts identified therein, recognizing potential equipment, logistical and capacity limitations by vendor may limit “piggybacking” of this award. Individual school districts would negotiate service with successful vendors using the proposal pricing specified herein. No volume is implied or guaranteed.</p> <p><strong>Questions <span>are due by May 8, 2020, at noon, local time. All questions received will be addressed through an addendum.</span></strong> Any questions regarding the proposal can be answered by calling Maggie Estacio, Purchasing/Fixed Assets at 928-627-6546. Ms. Estacio is authorized only to direct the attention of prospective vendors to various portions of the RFP so that they may read and interpret such for themselves. Neither Ms. Estacio nor any employee of the District is authorized to interpret any portion of this RFP or give information as to the requirements of the RFP in addition to that contained in the written documents. </p> <p><strong>Award: </strong>expected June, 2020. The performance schedule for Gadsden Elementary School District #32 for the 2020-2021 will require 196 service days. It is the intent of the District to award a multi-term contract, beginning during the fiscal year 2020-21, and continuing for one year after award. Assuming funds are appropriated to support continuation of services for succeeding fiscal periods; the original contract may be renewed annually for a total time of the time of the contract, not to exceed five (5) consecutive fiscal years.</p>Last Updated:
