<p class="btn btn-gold btn-block"><strong>2021 NEA Arts Projects- July sponsor submission (Media Arts only)</strong></p> <p>Grants for Arts Projects is the National Endowment for the Arts’ principal grants program. Through project-based funding, we support public engagement with, and access to, various forms of excellent art across the nation, the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life. Projects may be large or small, existing or new, and may take place in any part of the nation’s 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. The National Endowment for the Arts is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and fostering mutual respect for the diverse beliefs and values of all individuals and groups.</p> <p>While we welcome applications for a variety of artistically excellent projects, we encourage projects that address any of the following activities below:</p> <ul> <li><span>Celebrate America’s creativity and/or cultural heritage.</span></li> <li>Invite a dialogue that fosters mutual respect for the diverse beliefs and values of all persons and groups.</li> <li>Enrich our humanity by broadening our understanding of ourselves as individuals and as a society.</li> </ul> <p>Applications accepted for the following discipline:</p> <ul> <li><span>Media Arts (</span><em>ASU is allowed 1 more application for the Grants for Arts Projects/Challenge America February deadline; see details in Solicitation Limitations below</em><span>)</span></li> </ul> <p>In the spirit of White House Executive Orders that encourage federal agencies to engage with typically underserved constituencies, the National Endowment for the Arts encourages applications from:</p> <ul> <li>Historically Black Colleges and Universities,</li> <li>Tribal Colleges and Universities,</li> <li>American Indian and Alaska Native tribes,</li> <li>African American Serving Institutions,</li> <li>Hispanic Serving Institutions,</li> <li>Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, and</li> <li>Organizations that support the independence and lifelong inclusion of people with disabilities.</li> </ul>
Solicitation Limitations: <p>A minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount is required. Applicants may request cost share/matching grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. ASU may submit only one (1) application to the sponsoring organization for either the Arts Projects or Challenge America programs. The Arts Projects program has two submissions cycles each year (February/July). The Challenge America program deadline is situated between the two Arts Projects cycles. Due to the limitation of one application per year (in either Arts Projects or Challenge America), and the limitation of Artist Communities and Design applications only allowed in February, ASU Limited Submissions uses a combined internal deadline.
