Development Innovation Ventures is USAID’s open innovation program that tests and scales creative solutions to any global development challenge. Funding is provided to test new ideas, take strategic risks, build evidence of what works, and advance the best solutions. Proposals are accepted from any type of organization in any country where USAID operates, across three stages: proof of concept, testing and positioning for scale, and scaling. In addition, USAID provides evidence grants to support research and evaluations that generate evidence of an innovation’s impact per dollar and potential for expansion. Applications are accepted year-round.

Open innovation inspires new solutions to the critical challenges affecting millions around the world.
