Overview

<p>The Bob Woodruff Foundation invests in programs that support post-9/11 impacted veterans, service members, their families, and caregivers. <span><br></span></p> <p><span>Grants are provided in the following three core areas: </span></p> <ul> <li><span>Education and Employment focus on education and employment initiatives that enrich the next chapter of service members’ and veterans’ lives. </span></li> <li><span>Rehabilitation and Recovery supports programs that heal both the physical and hidden wounds of war, with emphasis on the long-term effects of living with injury.</span></li> <li><span> Quality of Life gives priority to programs that offer service members a sense of purpose, a place to live, healthy family relationships, and outlets for socialization. </span></li> </ul> <p>Programs considered for funding must:<br>• Be administered through a non-profit organization<br>• Demonstrate commitment and access to the post-9/11 military/veteran community<br>• Clearly articulate an understanding of the issue(s) to be addressed<br>• Be evidence-based and/or supported by peer-reviewed research<br>• Establish planned and measurable program goals and outcomes<br>• Collaborate with existing community resources and organizations<br>• Provide solutions that complement services and resources provided by the U.S. Departments of Defense, Labor, and Veterans Affairs<br>• Exhibit appropriate scale to optimize impact and resources<br>• Demonstrate potential replicability to other organizations and/or locations<br>• Plan for program sustainability</p>
