Aspiring Leaders Academy

Overview

<div>The Guilford County School System seek proposals from qualified agencies to partner in developing and implementing a leadership academy specifically for Black and Hispanic male aspiring leaders.</div> <div></div> <div>The selected partner will work with GCS through a comprehensive approach to tailor thework to fit our unique needs, as well as the context of the District. The selected partner will work with the District to create goals and monitor progress.</div> <div></div> <div>At minimum, the selected partner will need to:</div> <ul> <li>Build leadership capacity of aspiring leaders to improve teaching and learning within their schools.</li> <li>Develop and facilitate a cohesive curriculum that focuses on aspiring leaders and connects content from other leadership training and support programs in GCS.</li> <li>Provide executive coaching from leaders with extensive school and district-level leadership experience to facilitate the developed curriculum.</li> <li>Build the capacity of current GCS principals who possess extensive school leadership experience to coach aspiring leaders throughout the academy.</li> <li>Develop internal capacity to address issues of race and bias in GCS schools.</li> <li>Build the capacity of school leaders to achieve GCS strategic plan goals.</li> <li>Assist in the development of leadership growth plans.</li> <li>Guide participants through instructional rounds to analyze instruction across schools and classrooms to develop a common understanding of effectiveness.</li> <li>Provide participant access to a virtual support platform to increase frequency of support, without the need for face-to-face interaction.</li> </ul>
