Overview
<p>The Sloan Research Fellowships seek to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. These two-year fellowships are awarded yearly to 126 researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field.</p>
Solicitation Limitations: <p>• Candidates must hold a tenure track (or equivalent) position at a college, university, or other degree-granting institution in the United States or Canada. Tenure track faculty positions at the candidate's institution must include a yearly teaching requirement.<br>• Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, computational or evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, ocean sciences, physics, or a related field;<br>• Candidates' most recent Ph.D. (or equivalent) must have been awarded on or after September 1, 2011<br>• The Selection Committees may make exceptions for candidates who were awarded their Ph.D. prior to September 1, 2011 if their careers were disrupted due to military service, child-rearing, or a change of field. The Committees may also make exceptions for candidates who are currently serving in their first faculty position and who were appointed to that position on or after September 1, 2015.</p> Other Information:<p>Internal Application Submission Requirements<br>• A Limited Submissions cover page that includes the project title and a list of investigators<br>• 3-to-5 page project summary.<br>• 2-page curriculum vitae for each investigator.<br>• 1-page total project budget estimate (ORSPA review is optional; available during standard business hours)<br>• 1-page project cost share estimate, if applicable.<br>• Confirmation from appropriate Dean(s) and Chair(s) of commitment to cost share must be provided (copies of email correspondence are acceptable).<br>• Additional supporting information deemed relevant by investigator (optional).<br>• Letters of recommendation, if applicable.
