In the news: Are school districts using community input when spending pandemic relief funds?

When The Center on Reinventing Public Education, housed at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, reviewed the pandemic fund allocation of 100 large school districts, they discovered that many schools were not complying with the law.

School districts are required to collect and acknowledge feedback for direction on spending. The findings are outlined in a new review by CRPE and featured in The 74. Just 57% of the schools have systems in place to receive stakeholder input.
