EPAA journal celebrates its 30th anniversary
Founded by Regents Professor Emeritus Gene V Glass, Education Policy Analysis Archives is a peer-reviewed, open-access, international, multilingual and multidisciplinary journal designed for researchers, practitioners, policymakers and development analysts concerned with education policies.
“In my humble opinion,” says Glass, “I believe that EPAA was instantly successful.” The journal’s first article was published on Jan. 19, 1993 by a young Australian scholar named Stephen Kemmis and titled, “Action Research and Social Movement: A Challenge for Policy Research.” A month later, Glass published Regents Professor Emeritus and Research Professor David Berliner’s 17,000-word article, “Educational Report in an Era of Disinformation.” Glass says, “Berliner’s contribution gave EPAA instant credibility.”
