Next Education Workforce site visits: Leader Launchpad and Models in action
This two-day event is designed for educator teams, including schools and school system leaders. It opens with an introduction to the Next Education Workforce and features site visits to either elementary or secondary settings. At each school, you will have the opportunity to tour the learning space and interact with school leaders, educator team members and students. After the site visits, you will work with ASU’s Next Education Workforce team to learn how to launch a team in your context. You will set a vision for how team-based models will deepen and personalize learning for all students; identify launching teams for each pilot school; create a draft of your master schedule that prioritizes co-planning time for the core team; draft a plan for how you will use your existing space for pilots; and draft a plan for how you will create systems and structures that support teams.
We encourage teams to attend together and to consider using the site visit as a shared experience that helps prepare you to launch your own Next Education Workforce models. Multiple workshop sessions will be provided to attendees to allow a deeper dive into topics related to the implementation of team-based models.
