GeoCivics is excited to invite you to attend our free 2023 Annual Conference on Saturday, September 23 in the Farmer, Payne and Coor buildings of Tempe campus! Our theme of "Building Strong Teacher Leaders" represents an effort to provide resources and support to encourage teachers to become leaders in their schools and communities across all disciplines. 

The conference will offer you sessions in all content areas. You will connect with and learn from fellow K12 teachers, ASU faculty and other education professionals as you experience hands-on activities, explore effective content and pedagogy, and collect great resources. You will learn from awesome educators from Arizona Science Center, Arizona Game & Fish, Arizona Council on Economic Education, Arizona Historical Society, STEM AZ Education Collaborative, Arizona Geographic Alliance, ASU School of Life Sciences, K12 teachers, Maricopa County Air Quality Department, and many more!   

Conference Strands include:

  • STEM (science, math, engineering, and educational technology)
  • Social Studies (Geography & Geography Plus - GeoCivics, GeoHistory, GeoSTEM, etc., History, Civics, Civic Action)
