The Higher Education Program welcomes excellent, innovative proposals from colleges and universities and the organizations that support them. The program encourages inquiries from institutions that are less well-resourced and/or that serve disadvantaged or marginalized communities.

Higher education program grants have several characteristics:

Additionally, we welcome ideas that might fall outside of these four focus areas, but which offer unique approaches to advancing health equity and our progress toward a Culture of Health.

The Library of Congress awards grants under the Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Regional program to school districts, universities, cultural institutions, library systems and other educational organizations who wish to incorporate TPS materials and methods into their existing education and professional development programs for pre and in-service teachers, librarians, media specialists and other K-12 educators.
