Preparation for the future workforce must begin in the earliest grades from preK-12, where students need to learn not only the science and mathematics central to these areas, but also how computational thinking is integral to STEM disciplines.

<p>Emeril Lagasse Foundation provides financial support to non-profit organizations providing youth education in New Orleans, the Gulf Coast and nationwide. The Foundation is proud to support non-profit organizations in the following areas: Nutrition & Culinary Education, Life Skills Development, Childhood Hunger, and Arts Education.</p>
<p>Allowable funding uses include: Education / Outreach, Research, Applied Project / Program. With guidance from nearly 1,800 employees and several dozen community stakeholders, as well as data garnered from the largest benchmarking study of the oil and gas industry, Andeavor strategically focuses its community investments on three core areas (Environmental Conservation & Sustainability, STEM Education, Public Safety) where it can make a positive, measurable impact.
<p>Higher education has been a focus of the Foundation’s grantmaking since the Foundation’s very first grant in 1936 to Yenching University in Beijing. Over half of all grant monies awarded since the Foundation’s establishment have been to higher education institutions.
<p>Founded in 2002 by Manoj Saxena and his family, the Saxena Family Foundation is a private philanthropic organization committed to improving the quality of life of women, children and senior citizens in the communities in which we live. The foundation has particular focus on initiatives that promote U.S. STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and empowerment of girl child and young women so that they have equal rights later in life.  We partner with a wide range of outside individuals and organizations through our programs.</p>
<div>This initiative supports faculty-led efforts to prepare graduates to become informed and engaged participants in the civic life of their local, national, and global communities.</div> <div></div> <div>The Teagle Foundation welcomes the participation of a diverse array of institutions–community colleges, liberal arts colleges, comprehensive and research universities–in this initiative.</div> <div></div> <div>Requests from both single institutions and multiple institutions partnering together will be considered.
