Sue is an accomplished educator with 40 + years of K-12 and Higher Education administrative and teaching experience. Named ASU advisor of the year in 2006 Sue is passionate about promoting student success. Sue's spouse is a professor at ASU and they are very proud of their three children - all ASU graduates and each a marvelous contributor to making the world a more just and humane place. An avid reader and swimmer, and sometimes hiker,  Sue's life philosopy is to "freely scatter joy".

Research Interests

Sue's areas of research include enhanced student success based on brain dominance and learning styles, and the development of  success strategies for students with disabilities. Sue has authored 5 text books including Success Your Style: Right and Left Brain Techniques for Learningpublished by Wadsworth ITP and numous articles. Sue is currently working as an academic success coordinator for the Polytechnic School in the Ira A Fulton Schools of Engineering and she is proud to lead a team of professionals all dedicated to promoting student success.
