Technology Inititatives: What's new

Technology Initiatives

The Technology Initiatives Team collaborates with local, national, and international organizations, as well as Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College faculty, staff, and students on innovative technology initiatives. Our team supports the exploration, implementation, and infusion of emerging technologies to prepare our community for the tools and technologies of the future and make meaningful partnerships with external organizations that share in the vision of MLFTC.

Website Development

In addition to maintaining the college web presence on education.asu.edu, we assist faculty and staff with using digital technologies to harness the power of the internet to communicate story, mobilize knowledge, curate content, promote scholarship and represent the college.

IgnitED Lab

IgnitED Labs

The IgnitED Labs are open, hands-on, learner-centered creative spaces where users can explore and play with new and emerging technologies that can serve a role in teaching and learning. The IgnitED Labs were designed to go beyond the scope of traditional computer labs and provide students opportunities to create knowledge and skill sets through emerging technologies. These innovative spaces allow for users to create and tweak, tinker and play, and ultimately improve the learner experience through their discoveries.

Technology Initiatives is focused on:

  1. Educational Technology Initiatives: technology infusion within the MLFTC teacher preparation, development and implementation of forward thinking IgnitED Labs showcasing the latest emerging technology.

  2. Development of external partnerships: collaborating with external organizations on technology initiatives related to ASU and the MLFTC.

  3. Increase faculty scholarly visibility through support in curation of their scholarly work.

  4. Provide consultation for creating and expanding faculty online presence.
