Finnish educator, author and scholar Pasi Sahlberg was featured in the International Lecture Series of the Center for Advanced Studies in Global Education. His Feb. 13 address was titled “What Are Alternative Facts and Urban Legends in Education and Why Should We Care About Them?”


 
On Feb. 24, J. Douglas Willms, president of the International Academy of Education, presented “Equality, Equity and Educational Prosperity,” outlining a framework for assessing the capacity of a school district, state or country to develop children’s literacy skills.
