If they're going to keep up, they have to show up

A new study documents a list of factors affecting early literacy in Arizona. Variables that were considered include attendance, school enrollment, percent of the school population at poverty level, access to preschools; even health concerns including asthma rates and preterm births by ZIP code. Robert Vagi, a researcher and PhD candidate at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, appeared on "Arizona Horizon" to explain the report he wrote for the state’s literacy initiative, Read On Arizona.
