Biography

In her role as a Senior Program Strategist on the Next Education Workforce initiative, Lisa works with a broad set of stakeholders to imagine how we might deepen and personalize learning for all students, build teams of educators with distributed expertise, and empower educators by developing new opportunities for role-based specialization and advancement.

As a lifelong teacher, Lisa sees the enormous potential of moving away from the 1-teacher-1-classroom model to create professional pathways for educators and authentic learning opportunities for students.

A Phoenix native and a lifelong learner, Lisa grounds her work with partner schools in over twenty years of classroom experience: district and charter schools; elementary, secondary and community college; and international work as a Peace Corps volunteer (Philippines 1999-2001).

Lisa joined MLFTC in June 2018 as part of the Design Initiatives team before moving into her current role on the Next Education Workforce team. She is also a faculty associate in the college.
