The Master of Science degree in Education Sciences creates professionals with an expert ability to use quantitative research to understand what works in education. It provides you with knowledge and skills to conduct and use research to address issues in education policy and practice. You’ll learn scientifically valid research designs, measurement, data management, data mining, and quantitative data analysis at intermediate to advanced levels. This program's research apprenticeship model will allow you to integrate coursework with experience while increasing your job readiness and value in the workforce.

This program does not lead to teacher certification. However, it can prepare graduate students for doctoral credentials in education after graduation.

Professional experiences

The Master of Science in Education Sciences includes a faculty-supervised research project followed by an internship with an applied project. The MLFTC-supervised internship will place you in a research institute, business or agency. This combined project/internship model allows you to gain experience applying coursework to current challenges in education while increasing your workforce readiness. For some working students, an existing job placement may be used as the site of your internship.
