Biography

Ann Nielsen received her Ed.D. from Arizona State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision.  Her interests in education and research have focused upon teacher professionalism, teacher leadership, and school leadership.  Ann has been in education since 1996, dedicating her work to at-risk student populations.  Ann has served as the principal investigator for the International Leaders in Eduaction Program, the Next Generation Leaders Program--West Bank and the YouLead Youth and Business Start Up Program--Sri Lanka.  Ann previously served in the role as the TAP Director in the Arizona Ready for Rigor Grant where she supported grant initiatives in 59 schools across Arizona.  Ann has trained educators at the pre-service and in-service levels of the professiona.  She currently works in the Center for Advance Studies in Global Education as the Associate Director.
