If you’re just beginning at the community college level, you can set yourself up for success and a future transfer to ASU by following these next steps:

  1. View or create your MyPath2ASU™ to outline a list of recommended courses to take prior to transferring. 
  2. Complete your associate degree at your local community college, or transfer in previously earned college credits.

Browse the next steps below to chart your course to ASU. Different options will be available to you depending on where you live. Choose one of the following options to get started:

If you live in Maricopa county…

If you live outside of Maricopa county, but in Arizona…

  • Start your application at asu.edu/apply.
  • Choose from three degree programs in education: 
    • Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) — Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education
    • Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) — Secondary Education 
    • Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) — Special Education and Elementary Education
  • Take classes remotely, via ASU Sync and earn a bachelor’s degree leading to teacher certification in just two years.

If you live outside of Arizona...

  • Apply for financial aid. Fill out your FAFSA and ask whether you’re eligible for the Arizona Teachers Academy at ASU scholarship, which covers full tuition.
  • Start your application at asu.edu/apply.
  • Choose your degree program. View all programs
  • Take classes on an ASU campus and earn your bachelor’s degree leading to teacher certification in just two years.
