The Master of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education degree offers professional development and career enhancement for administrative or support personnel in colleges and universities.

  • Organizational characteristics of colleges and universities

  • Law and policy pertaining to administrative practice in higher education

  • College and university funding

  • Working successfully with diverse stakeholders

  • Improving decision-making through data analysis

  • Optional enhancement: Graduate certificate in Advanced Analytics in Higher Education — This online program leads to certification in data mining, predictive analytics, sentiment analysis and data visualization for use in higher-education contexts

Program structure

This 30-credit, 10-course program is offered on a 7.5-week calendar in fall and spring semesters (eight weeks in summer). You have the option of enrolling part time to accommodate your work schedule.

Most of the program’s courses are offered in a hybrid format with 50 percent of the content delivered face-to-face (weekday evenings) and 50 percent through independent or technology-supported learning experiences and fieldwork.

This program culminates with the creation and presentation of an applied project that demonstrates your learning while promoting your career advancement.
