Biography

Melissa A. Geiselhofer serves as program coordinator and faculty for the master's of education early childhood online program. She focuses on curriculum development and teacher candidate supervision as program coordinator. Professor Geiselhofer researches the role and impact of technology in education with an emphasis on new literacy skills, strategies, and dispositions. She is currently engaging in action research designed to explore the dichotomous relationship between print-based and online reading skills, strategies, and dispositions. A large part of her service to the college as a clinical faculty member stems from committee and consortium involvement. She is involved with a P20 vertical and horizontal articulation project focusing on literacy development as well as serving on a state committee to support the standards revisions.
