Biography
Jodie Donner developed a passion for teaching with technology while earning her master's of education in educational technology at Arizona State University. She taught high school langauge arts for nine years then served her school district as a media center director. Her next opportunity was functioning as a technology integration specialist in the high school setting, creating professional development sessions and training materials for teachers. She now focuses on integrating technologies into Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College teacher preparation programs by supporting faculty members with digital pedagogy. She supports MLFTC students as they learn about digital citizenship and teaching in digital environments. Additionally Jodie heads the IgnitED Labs, the college's network of three emerging technology labs that provide students, faculty members, and staff with exploration and creativity in the labs and online. She has helped redesign EDT 180, a technology literacy course focused on the changing technological landscape in which learners are immersed. Lastly she is completing her final year in the Leadership and Innovation EdD program at MLFTC with a focus on facilitating an online community of practice for part-time faculty members instructing in teacher preparation programs at the college.
