Post-Baccalaureate Programs

Post-baccalaureate programs prepare students for teacher certification by the state and are designed for those students who hold a bachelor's degree in an area other than education. We offer programs at night, during the day, full-time, part-time, and even some that include coursework leading to a Master's degree upon completion.

  • TEACH+ME (Elementary)
The Teacher Education and Certification Highway + Master of Education (TEACH+ME) initial teacher certification program is one of our newest post-baccalaureate/Master’s programs. The program leads to elementary teacher certification (K-8) and also provides graduates with the coursework necessary for a provisional ESL endorsement. Courses are offered during the evenings, in 9-week sessions, and on Saturdays, and certification can be obtained within one calendar year. To learn more, continue on to the TEACH+ME website.

  • INCITE (Secondary)
The Integrated Certification in Teacher Education (INCITE) initial teacher certification program is a post-baccalaureate/Master’s program. Similar in format to the TEACH+ME program, courses are offered during the evenings, in 9-week sessions, and on Saturdays, and certification can be obtained within one calendar year. Certification programs are offered in 15 content specialization areas. To learn more, continue on to the INCITE website.

  • TEAMS (Secondary Math/Science)
Teacher Education for Arizona Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) is an 11-month, middle grades program leading to secondary certification, middle school endorsement, and a master’s degree specializing in mathematics, science, or technology. It is based around technology, field based experiences, internships, and coursework. Cohorts start every summer with a class of 25-30 students. To learn more, continue on to the TEAMS website.

  • Apprentice Teacher Program (Elementary)
Offered jointly with local districts, the Apprentice Teacher Program (ATP) is a concentrated, full-time, daytime certification program option that is completed in one calendar year, with all coursework based in participating schools. This full immersion program begins each January and leads to K-8 teacher certification. To learn more, continue on to the ATP website.
