Doctor of Education (EdD) - International Executive Doctoral Program in Higher Education Administration

studentsThe International Executive Doctoral Program in Higher Education Administration responds to increased demand for enhanced educational leadership in higher education with an international and comparative emphasis. The cohort program structure allows full-time campus administrators to pursue a terminal degree to assure sustained leadership in their respective institutions of higher education, while working full-time on their campuses. Program goals are to develop leaders with knowledge, skills, and deep understandings necessary to lead innovation and change for globalization in higher education in the colleges and universities of the future.

Critical areas of higher education administration addressed: evolving concepts in leadership, action research as a leadership tool, utilization and support of research efforts by others, program evaluation, organizational psychology, and sustainability in program innovation.

The International Executive Doctoral Program in Higher Education Administration (IEDP) is designed specifically for practicing campus administrators in higher education. The program seeks applicants who are campus administrators, deans, directors, supervisors with campus-wide responsibilities, human resource and campus-level business administrators, governmental educational agency personnel, and other leaders in higher education.

Note: The IEDP program is accepting applications for Fall 2010 admission.

Extensive use of distance learning technologies;

International site visits to models of higher education innovation;

Three winter sessions in Mexico;

Two summer sessions in Mexico; and

Ongoing support in writing academic English.
