The organizational structure of the Research Advancement Office serves to facilitate faculty in their pursuit of external funding for their research. Individual faculty and collaborative groups of faculty are served through the Research Advancement Office in the institute. The professional staff in the institute works to identify funding sources and grant opportunities, facilitate faculty in proposal development and submission, manage grant and contract accounts when funded, and assist faculty in grant-related activities. Indeed the institute is geared to provide extensive support to the entire grant process from conception to termination. This is a service that it is delivered to the university community.
