EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

computerThe Educational Technology program focuses on instructional design, development, and evaluation, as well as current and emerging trends and technologies. These include human performance technology, training, web-based learning, distance learning and education, technology integration, multimedia learning, animated pedagogical agents, and interactive learning environments. The PhD program has a strong research focus and emphasizes practical experience and publishing works.

The Educational Technology program has been ranked among the top five programs nationally since Educational Media and Technology Yearbook began ranking such programs in the 1980s. Its reputation is based on the accomplishments of its faculty, the placement and success of its graduates, and the productivity of its students. The program is widely considered to rank first nationally among Educational Technology programs with respect to placement of its graduates in university programs.

Prior to admission, students must have completed their bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or university of recognized standing. See individual program pages for specific information about application materials and submission deadlines.

Admission decisions to Educational Technology programs are made by the ASU Graduate College using recommendations from the Educational Technology faculty.

Application to all programs begins through the Arizona State University Graduate College, using their online application.
A variety of full and partial funding packages are available to students in the form of student research assistantships, teaching opportunities and scholarships. Students may request consideration for funding at the time of application.
