group of peopleThe Division of Advanced Studies in Education Policy, Leadership, and Curriculum is composed of multiple graduate programs and concentrations that are guided by nationally and internationally recognized faculty. Division program areas offer interdisciplinary studies in education that inform research, policy, and practice in a variety of settings including families, schools, community colleges, colleges, research universities, government, foundations, and other contexts in which education is a core mission.

The division offers MA and PhD programs in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, with specializations in American Indian education policy, anthropology and education, higher education, international and comparative education, language policy, policy analysis, and social and philosophical foundations. The division also offers graduate degree programs in Educational Administration (MEd and EdD), Higher Education and Postsecondary Education (MEd and EdD), Special Education (MA), Early Childhood Education (MA) and Curriculum Studies (MA) as well as certification programs in educational administration.

Division faculty are active members of two school-wide doctoral programs: Applied Linguistics (PhD) and Curriculum & Instruction (PhD). The C & I PhD offers multiple areas of study that are led by faculty in our division including curriculum studies, language and literacy, special education, and early childhood education.
