ELPS programs nationally recognized

TUS Newshe 2008 U.S. News and World Report national rankings of graduate programs in Education once again lists Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton College of Education among the top ranked programs in the nation. The Division's Education Policy Analysis program was ranked 14th in the nation (8th among public universities) and its graduate program in Educational Administration & Supervision ranked 26th (19th among public universities) in the most recent (2008) U.S. News & World Report report on graduate schools of education.


Service to the profession and schools

  • Education Policy Analysis Archives, a peer reviewed electronic journal published by the Division since 1993.
  • The Anthropology & Education Quarterly is edited by Teresa McCarty, the Alice Wiley Snell Professor of Education Policy Studies.
  • The Journal of Language, Identity, and Education is co-edited by ELPS Division Director and faculty member Terrence Wiley.
  • Education Policy Studies Laboratory: EPSL houses the Commercialism in Education Research Unit (CERU), the Education Policy Research Unit (EPRU), and conducts original research and policy analysis.
  • Hispanic Border Leadership Institute promotes the improvement of the education of Hispanics
  • Education Review, a tri-lingual scholarly journal of book reviews in education has been published by the Division since 1998.
  • The Southwest Center for Education Equity and Language Diversity (SCEED) is under the direction of ELPS faculty member Josué M. González.
  • The Learner Centered Leadership program is an educational leadership partnership project to meet the need for principals and assistant principals specifically trained for service in four urban and culturally diverse Phoenix, Arizona, school districts.
